The cable is installed in a stainless steel conduit and heated to 920°C ± 20°C according to aspecified time curve. A voltage of 500 V AC or 1,000 V AC respectively is applied to the cable. To
simulate mechanical shock, a small hammer strikes the pipe at a frequency of 2 strikes / min.
